IERG Virtual Chapter Presents

100 Days:  Update on US-China Relations

Thursday, April 29, 2021 @ 12 Noon (EDT)

Our IERG colleague, Michael Sacharski, Managing Director of Pacific Enterprise Capital International (PEC) returns to share his observations and insights on the US-China relations following the first 100 days of the Biden administration, from many of the perspectives covered in Mike’s initial presentation in Nov/2020.  In particular:

  • Basic principle: domestic matters and politics drive a nation’s foreign policy; or, why the recently passed first 100 days American Rescue Plan is perceived as a threat to China.
  • Who besides the president is making China policy in the first 100 days of the new administration?
  • How is China affecting the first 100-day U.S. policy making process?
  • What U.S. policy trends and directions can be expected at the end of the first 100 days?
  • How will the outcome of the first 100 days impact U.S. – China policy until the next first 100 days?
About Michael (Mike) Sacharski:
