Marco Oropeza & Lawrence Allen Named Co-Chairs IERG Texas Chapter

I am pleased to announce that Marco Oropeza and Lawrence Allen have been appointed Co-Chairs of the IERG Texas Chapter.
 
The Texas Chapter has made solid progress in 2024 and now with the team effort of Marco and Lawrence joined by the support of our Texas Chapter members, we anticipate continued growth and bringing value to our members.
 
I am sharing with you a brief Profile of our new Co-Chairs.

Marco Oropeza
Marco is the President of START International, a global company that manufactures automatic tape and label dispensers. Marco has over 30 years of experience in global business with both large and small companies, driving growth and profitability for the Global Business Units and (PE-backed) Companies he has led. His jobs have taken him to work in Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Norway, Spain, China, and Singapore.

Lawrence Allen
Lawrence Allen is a Recruiter, Leadership Advisor, International Market Entry expert, and author who served the talent sourcing and assessment needs of leading multinational companies.

For the past 16 years, as a Senior Executive Recruiter on two continents, he delighted clients while with the likes of Heidrick & Struggles, Stanton Chase and various boutiques. Prior to recruiting he served as an executive for Nestle, Hershey, Conair, and Libbey Glassware; building their businesses in the Greater China Region.

Lawrence spent 8 years in the chocolate industry in China. Based on these experiences in 2009 he wrote "Chocolate Fortunes, The Battle For The Hearts, Minds, and Taste Buds of China’s Consumers" (Published by AMACOM/HarperCollins, hardcover, https://lawrenceallenauthor.com/chocolatefortunes), a China business book that chronicles the quarter-century battle by the 5 chocolate global giants for the taste buds of China’s virgin chocolate consumer.
