About the Speaker:  Peter Köppl

The Austrian citizen is one of the leading public affairs experts in the German speaking markets, founder & managing partner of Mastermind Public Affairs Consulting as well as President of the Austrian Public Affairs Association (OePAV). His professional experience includes positions as journalist, PR-consultant, spokesperson and in-house lobbyist. In his career which spans over three decades he advised more than 200 global brands, international and national companies, associations, and NGOs. 

Peter has published six books and well over a dozen articles on public affairs, lobbying and CSR. He holds a PhD in mass communication and political sciences from the University of Vienna and an M.A. in corporate public affairs from the Graduate School of Political Management in Washington, DC. He also participated in the Executive Program “Strategy Beyond Markets” at the Stanford Business School, being the first Austrian to be admitted to both, the GSPM and the Stanford program. Since more than 20 years he has been lecturing at universities, and frequently speaks at international and national conferences. 

Peter Köppl is a member of the Austrian Strategic Community, an exclusive program created by the Austrian Federal Government after 09/11. Every year, 20 selected leaders and decision-makers from all areas of society relevant to security policy are given the unique opportunity to deal with national and international strategic challenges and opportunities. Together, the community members strengthen their knowledge and awareness to expand strategic thinking and action for the benefit of their company or organization to enable timely identification of dangers and risks through the cooperation of many informed leaders.
