Insights To Land a Board Seat

The IERG Dallas Chapter invites all IERG members and guests to join us for this event on insights to land a board seat. 

Our speaker is Rudi Strobl, international CEO and operating partner, as well as independent and non-executive director on boards of private equity sponsored companies in the middle market and in diverse range of industries both in global manufacturing and distribution. Director steeped in dealing with and intervening in crisis situations in wide range of industries and businesses, will talk about a roadmap to land a board seat.  

As a special give back program we will raffle two 1 hour personal advice coaching sessions with Rudi at the end of the program.

Meet our speaker:

Rudolf Strobl 

Mr. Strobl is a serial CEO and Operating Partner in the private equity space leading carve-outs, restructurings and M&A initiatives in mid-cap companies serving a wide range of industries in engineered products, distribution and business services with international scope, scale and complexity. Currently, Mr. Strobl serves as an operating partner with Sole Source Capital, and as an Industrial Partner with The Silverfern Group. Most recently, Mr. Strobl completed an 18 month term as an independent and non-executive director on the board of an affiliate of One Equity Partners going through merger integration. Previously, Mr. Strobl served as Executive Chairman of Fairmont Supply. Prior, Mr. Strobl served as Operating Partner, President, and CEO for several portfolio companies of Platinum Equity with P&Ls ranging from $150 million to $1.2 billion and headcount of up to 5,000 employees. Mr. Strobl is also the founder of The Windpoint Group where he served as interim CEO and Operating Partner for business units of Fortune 500 companies lead by GE alumni, private equity sponsors, and privately held mid-market industrial and service businesses. Mr. Strobl’s early career includes consulting roles with Monitor, Mac Group/Gemini and Arthur D. Little, as well as corporate development roles at the corporate and business unit level of Fortune 500 companies including Case Corporation and General Electric. Mr. Strobl earned a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Eisenerz College, Austria, and a PhD in Communications Research and Political Science from the University of Salzburg, Austria.
